Integrity Learning Center

By: Miranda Prowse

August 2023 - May 2024

In August 2023, I applied for the Marketing Intern position at Integrity Learning Center, eager to gain hands-on experience as I approached graduation. I was determined to step outside the classroom and apply the skills I had honed throughout my academic journey in a real-world setting. When I came across this position, it immediately felt like the perfect fit. It offered me the opportunity to strengthen my existing skill set, learn new techniques, and, perhaps most importantly, work with children—a passion of mine that aligned perfectly with the clinic's mission.

As my internship began, one of my first tasks was to update and design marketing materials for the clinic. I created a poster featuring the core values and mission of Integrity, and I also designed a chore chart for employees and refreshed the staff bulletin board and client daily schedule.

During my time there, I picked up a valuable new skill: creating newsletters using MailChimp. I was responsible for gathering the necessary content to send out to staff and families, and then formatting it into a professional and engaging design using the software.

Another exciting project I took on was designing merchandise for tabling events and staff giveaways, which allowed me to get creative and contribute to the clinic’s marketing efforts in a tangible way.

Additionally, I served as the primary point of contact between Integrity Learning Center and its former marketing partner, Pence Media Group. I ensured smooth communication and collaboration, helping to streamline marketing initiatives and strengthen the clinic's overall strategy.

This internship was an incredible opportunity to grow professionally while also working in a field I genuinely care about.

May 2024 - October 2024

In May 2024, I was thrilled to transition into a full-time role as Social Media and Marketing Coordinator at Integrity Learning Center. While I continued to carry out many of the tasks I had handled as a Marketing Intern, I also took on additional responsibilities that allowed me to further expand my skill set.

One of my key new duties was taking full ownership of Integrity’s social media accounts. This included creating content, managing posts, and overseeing the clinic's presence across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I successfully balanced this increased workload with my existing tasks, ensuring that every aspect of the marketing strategy was executed smoothly and effectively.

This position also gave me a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a Social Media Manager, gaining firsthand experience in the role and discovering ways to elevate the company’s online presence. I worked diligently to refine the approach, learning what worked, what didn’t, and how to continuously improve our social media strategy. It was an exciting time of growth, both for me personally and for the clinic's marketing efforts.

October 2024 - January 2025

In October 2024, I was honored to be promoted to Manager of Marketing Operations during a time when Integrity was undergoing internal structural changes. This new role allowed me to focus even more on enhancing the quality of the clinic’s media presence, and I was eager to bring fresh ideas to the table.

One of the first initiatives I spearheaded was a comprehensive project to update and elevate the visual identity of Integrity. I organized professional headshots for all of our staff, and then personally took the photos, ensuring each shot captured the unique personality and professionalism of our team. These images were used across social media platforms to help showcase our staff in a polished and cohesive way. Additionally, I led the charge in refreshing the clinic's branding for graphics, ensuring that our visuals remained consistent and aligned with our core values.

I also began working more extensively on our website via WordPress, making updates and improvements to better engage visitors. Another key responsibility I took on was developing promotional materials, including pamphlets for prospective clients, to ensure we had compelling resources to present to those interested in our services.

To streamline our social media strategy, I implemented a posting schedule of three times a week using Buffer, which helped maintain a consistent and engaging online presence.

While I took on these new responsibilities, I continued to manage the original tasks I had been handling, making sure every aspect of our marketing operations ran smoothly and efficiently. This role provided me with the perfect opportunity to grow as a leader while further shaping Integrity’s marketing direction.

January 2025 - Present

In January 2025, I decide to take a step back and transition into a new role as Social Media Specialist. In this role, I continue to create all of the content that Integrity shares across their platforms, ensuring it aligns with their brand and engages their audience. I also manage and maintain our posting schedule to ensure a consistent online presence.

While my primary focus is now social media, I remain flexible and take on other tasks as needed, contributing wherever I’m able to support the team. This role allows me to refine my expertise in digital marketing while continuing to be a vital part of Integrity’s ongoing growth and success.
